ipsy Glam Bag - October 2014

October came and went pretty fast that I almost forgot to do my ipsy glam bag review! I'm not too into this ipsy bag but I do actually enjoy the physical bag it came it. The highlight of the products for me, were the makeup wipes. In this post, I'm gonna try something new. I'm going to start adding up the costs of the samples to see how much bang for my buck I received for each ipsy glam bag. The glam bags are $10/month, but sometimes I only like 1 or 2 products. This will help myself and my readers to see if the glam bag subscription is wroth it! Let's dig in, shall we?

ECRU New York - Acacia Protein BB Cream Beauty Balm for Hair - ($12 for sample size/$30 for full size)
I feel like I've gotten alot of hair products in my glam bags over the past couple months. For me it's hard to experiment with my hair because hair is so unique. I don't often stray away from my hair routine but I am giving this a try. So far I've noticed that it's light weight and has a smell that is somewhat neutral. I can't really tell if I love it or hate it yet.

Figs & Rouge - Mango & Mandarin Shea Butter Hand Cream ($6.56)
No sir, I do not like this. I've never hated something I've received in my ipsy bag so much. It smells awful. Like sour spoiled food. It smells nothing like mangoes. I am disappointed. :(

MicaBeauty - Mineral Eye Shadow in #34 Harliquin ($14.95)
I'm not a huge eyeshadow fan. And if/when I do wear them, they are very neutral. I don't really adventure into the color range, let alone the loose powder shadows. This is totally not for me, but it did swatch beautifully.

Skyn Iceland - Mini Glacial Cleansing Cloths ($15.00 for 30 wipes)
The sample came with 10 wipes. These wipes do an amazing job at removing my makeup and it smells so fresh. It makes my face feel like I actually washed it with a cleaner and water. The wipes themselves have the prefect amount of moisture, without being too wet or dry. I really enjoy these and wish there was store near by that sold these. That's probably the biggest let down of this product; the availability.

Starlooks - Lip Gloss in Guilty Pleasure (full size $12)
Not so much a fan of lip glosses, mostly because of the staying power. This is no exception. Lasts an hour or two at most. It's not too sticky but it does have a thick formula. This color is lovely. I really enjoy nude lip products but this isn't something I would purchase myself.

All and all, I would roughly value this bag at $45. Not too shabby but... I was really only impressed by the makeup wipes; one of the least expensive items of the bunch. Although, this bag did value well, it just wasn't a huge success to my book. Hopefully, my next glam bag will be better!
