Review: IT Brushes for Ulta
Ahhhh my goooosh. These brushes are amazing. They are super soft, so easy to work with, and all around great quality. I picked up 5 brushes and I'm impressed with each brush. There are 3 collections from this newly launch line exclusive to Ulta; the Essentials (Airbrush), Inspired (Live Beauty Fully), and Blurring (Velvet Luxe) Collections. Most of mine are from the Airbrush Collection and I treated myself to one Velvet Luxe, which is like there high-end prestige brush.
Airbrush OMG! Foundation Brush #106 - $24
Probably my favorite brush I purchased of the five. I've been using this as a foundation brush as the name suggests. I was concerned about the performance of this brush but even after the first use I was in love. This brush really does have you saying "OMG"! It gives your face an airbrushed look. I've used this brush with several different foundations and I have been impressed every time. Out of all the brushes, this is the one I would highly recommend to everyone.
Airbrush Complexion Perfection Brush #115 - $24
I'm not using this brush for liquid foundations but rather setting powders or powder foundations. I've found that this does a great job at buffing in powders for those lazy days where I need some coverage but I just don't have the time for liquid foundation. OR for setting my foundation. I take brush loaded up with my powder and lightly press (instead of buffing) it on my T-zone or. It's able to get to all the of nooks and areas on my face because of the angled shape of the brush. And because of the flat top of the brush, its wonderful for pressing in your powders instead of sweeping it around and accidentally disturbing the foundation underneath.
Airbrush Angled Liner Brush #122 - $12
I've been using this brush for my eyebrow powders and it's been fabulous. Very easy to control and angle. My other angled brushes still get the job done but this seems to have a little something-something. Out of all the brushes I choose, this is probably the most non-unique but I still very much enjoy it.
Velvet Luxe Soft Focus Sculpting Brush #315 - $34
Oh nelly, this brush is beautiful. Where to begin? There is a hidden gem at the bottom of the handle which is a simple but elegant touch. The handle of the brush it shaped in a way that is lovely to hold. Even the handle itself is soft to the touch. The brush is even softer than the other brushes, which I didn't even think was possible. The only down side to this brush is that the brush hairs are black. It's hard to see if the brush dirty or how dirty it is. Other than that, this brush is tremendous! It's unique to me because I don't have a brush quite like this in my collection. It's prefect for contouring or sculpting, as the brush name suggests. It supplies the prefect softness to the contour without looking overdone or harsh. It's the prefect "never mess up" contour brush!
Airbrush Essential Bronzer Brush #114 - $26
This bronzing brush provides a wonderful bronzed look to the face. The brush itself is so densely packed and because of that I was worried how this would come off on my face. It's prefect. It's beautiful. I have no complaints. It provides a wonderful "just been out in the sun" look with every bronzer I've tried. You can use this brush on the face or anywhere on the body. This is a hefty brush but for it to perform the way it does, it makes sense.
Have you picked up any of the new brushes at ULTA? What would you recommend? Thanks for looking/reading~
