First Impression & Swatches: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette ($58)
Whoa nelly does this baby have a lot of hype. It's almost intimidating! I've wanted to try this for soooooooooooooooo long. I was super excited that they brought the holiday palette back. You get the joy of trying 3 powders without paying the price for 3 separate products. And one of these powders are only available in this palette! Hurrah, it's win-win! But that being said... this guy still ain't cheap. $58 for shiny reflective powders. Why the heck did I buy this?? Well, to be honest I am still trying to figure that out. I know, sad right? Maybe it because of all of reviews? Maybe it because of the urgency I felt when I saw this pop back on Sephora's website? Or maybe I'm a makeup hoarder and I don't know any better? I don't know!! It's just so beautiful. It's like, I never want to use it or I'll just ruin the perfection. Anyways, what I do know is that I'm still playing around with this while trying to figure out the best way incorporate the ambient lighting powders into my make up routine.

  1. Ha ha! Don't be afraid to use it, Devon! :D I love using Dim all over to set, Incandescent to highlight (though I RARELY do this b/c oily skin doesn't really scream for additional "glow", lol), and Radiant as a bronzer. I usually prefer a matte bronzer but Radiant does give skin a believable post-vacation vibe! I hope you find a way to use it that makes you fall in lurve.

    1. I know! Same goes for me. By hour 5 in the day I'm a grease ball. :( Bleh... I've been using Dim all over and loving it but I never would of though to use Radiant as a bronzer. Thanks for the tips!! :)
