Tarte Pure Delights 8-piece LipSurgence Set Review

Follow me on instagram @devonstinson

This is my second Tarte holiday collection that I've purchased this year. I HAVE NO REGRETS! I've always been really intrigued by the LipSurgence's but because of the price tag, I never bought one. Well, this set is amazing because it comes with 8 of them... in mini form! Everything is better when it's mini!

Anyways,  I love this set because its allowing me to try many different shades/finishes I wouldn't have allowed myself to try if I purchased them individually. It's a wonderful price (34$) for the amount of high end products you're getting. This set tends to be very red shade heavy, with some nudes. I am all about the wearable nude/pinks. Not so much the reds. I do enjoy both the textures of the matte and gloss finish. As for any matte shade, I find you need to have extremely smooth and well exfoliated lips or they just show off every imperfection; these come as no exception to that rule. They do have a minty smell/taste, which I enjoy. As far as I know, this set is not Sephora exclusive but it's where I purchased mine.

The shades in this set include:

Matte Shades:
  • glee (watermelon)
  • cheerful (coral)
  • destined (raspberry)
  • generous (pinkish nude)
Gloss Finish:
  • believe (warm pink)
  • grateful (nude)
  • lovely (mauve pink)
  • enamored (cool red)
Aren't those names festive?! Very Christmasy! My swatches/pictures are not grouped as matte vs glossy finishes. They're grouped exactly how they came out of the packaging (pictures below).
