Empties #2

Follow me on instagram @devonstinson

So lemme tell ya... I didn't mean for this to happen. I just kept adding and adding and adding... to my empties and didn't realize how many I actually had. I told myself last time (previous blog post) that I wouldn't let it get outta control! Well, it did. Whoopies, I lied. But I'm just gonna fly with it! Here we goooooooooooooo! Come take a look at my trash! :D

  1. Murad Clarifying Wipes For Blemish-Prone Skin - I was out of my MAC wipes and I wanted to try something new. I tried these out and I wasn't impressed. Why? They are so tiny. They're not the regular size of a standard facial wipe. I also feel these weren't moist enough. The idea behind them are fab, but they just didn't do it for me. Not repurchasing.
  2. Lush Gorgeous Moisturizer -OMG this stuff is HEAVEN in a black pot. Seriously the best moisturizer I have ever used. I received it as a Christmas gift. The price tag on this bad boy is 89.95... yea. If you really love your skin care, this stuff is the holy grail of moisturizers. One thing to note, It did last me 8 months (that's a good amount of time)! I little of this goes a long way. I will highly recommend getting a sample of this first before investing, they are happy to do so at Lush. I love it! I have combination/oily skin and this worked wonderfully on my skin. I used it as a night cream. My skin never looked or felt better after using this. I would repurchase.
  3. Lush R&B Hair Treatment  - I used this treatment as a leave in conditioner. I personal love the smell and the way it made my hair feel. It controls my frizz and helps define my curls (if I wanna wear my hair wavy). It took me ages to finally use up the whole pot. I've had this for well over a year. I would repurchase.
  4. Lush Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie - This came in a Valentine's Day gift set. I love the idea of the shower smoothie and this was the first one I tried. I wasn't fond of the smell but it grew on me. Also, I didn't like the way this left my skin feeling. It felt very drying. Like a cheap soap feeling. To compromise for the smoothie I had to over moisturize after my shower, which felt unnecessary. This was totally not for me. Maybe I'll give another Lush smoothie a try. Not repurchasing.
  5. Body & Body Works Orange Ginger Body Wash - This used to be my favorite scent for Bath and Body Works, but my tastes have changed. I've had this body wash since 2 Christmas's ago (yikes)! But I finally forced myself to used it up! Not repurchasing.
  6. Avon Naturals Cranberry and Cinnamon Shower Gel - I got this last Christmas from my mother. She's a big Avon fan. This scent is fruity and spicy. Prefect winter combo. It took me a while to use it up. I did enjoy it but there's other body washes I enjoy more. Not repurchasing.
  7. Mario Badescu Glycolic Grapefruit Cleansing Lotion - This was my first time using a Glycolic toner and I really enjoyed it. It gives a burning/tingling sensation on your face. It took some getting used to. I kinda like it, lets me know the product is working, haha! I'm trying out a new Glycolic toner at this time, but so far this one is my favorite. I would repurchase.
  8. Urban Decay Deslick - My oily skin can't live without it. I have already repurchased.
  9. Yes To Cucumbers Facial Wipes - Always a favorite. I repurchase these again and again. I have already repurchased.
  10. Lush Coconut Deodorizer - I use this deodorizer in my shoes. A Lush sales associate  recommended the idea to me and lemme tell ya, it works! But if you use too much of it, it does start to build up inside the shoes. I have already repurchased.
  11. Boscia Blotting Sheets - I decided to give these a try. The 10 dollar price tag is scary for little sheets of paper but omg... so wroth it! I am glad I gave them a try. Best blotting sheets I have ever used and there are huge compared to other brands. One sheet is enough to get me through the day. lovelovelove! I have already repurchased.
  12. Lush Tea Tree Water  -My go to at night toner. I have already repurchased.
  13. Dove Clear Tone Skin Renew Deodorant - This is pretty much the only deodorant I use. I do find that is helps to fade darkness under the arms. It has a gentle scent I repurchase this all the time. ALSO, is it just me or does it take anyone else forever to go through one stick of deodorant? Takes me like a year!  I have already repurchased.
  14. Clinique Exfoliating Scrub - I had this in my last empties. Love this face scrub. I have already repurchased.
  15. Tresemme Heat Tamer Leave in Spray - I have never used any other heat protector before. Never had any issues with this one and it's always done what it's needed to do. Definitely a staple item in my hair routine. I have already repurchased.
  16. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush - I only get this dry shampoo if the Wild scent out. Would not not repurchase unless I had too...?
  17. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Wild - Repurchase My favorite dry shampoo. I have already repurchased.
  18. Murad Oil Control Mattifier Moisturizer - My go to daily moisturizer. It has SPF and it matifies which is prefect for my oily skin. I was a little scared of the price but I decided to jump in and I'm glad I did. I am now on my 3rd repurchase. I just haven't found a better daily moisturize. Love this! I have already repurchased.
  19. MAC Facial Wipes (100 Count) - Best makeup wipes that I have come across for removing make up. I follow up after with my Yes To Cucumbers Facial Wipes. Great combo that's been working very well for me. I have already repurchased.
  20. Benefit POREfessional   - Best primer/pore easer that I have used for my skin. I've tried many primers and I keep coming back to this one. I still have 1 or 2 primers to finish before repurchasing. I would repurchase.
  21. The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion - New discovery that I am really enjoying. I use this at night with my night moisturizer for added blemish treatment. This stuff smells like honey (mmm!) and is light weigh. I have already repurchased.
  22. Bath and Body Works Amber Blush Travel Shower Gel - New scent that Bath and Body works introduced. I really love amber musky scents so I thought I would enjoy this and I did. I used this up in just a couple weeks. I haven't repurchase just because I have a whole basket of shower gels I need to finish... I would repurchase.
  23. Lush Happy Happy Joy Joy Conditioner - This and American Cream are my favorite Lush conditioners. The consistency is very similar to American Cream and the scent is just wonderful. Kinda creamy and fruity smelling. I really enjoy this. I got it while traveling so I only got the small bottle. I have alot of conditioners I need to finish so this will be on my wish list for a while. I would repurchase.
  24. Bath and Body Works True Blue Spa Super-Softening Hand Lotion -THE BEST HAND CREAM EVER! Seriously, it's great! I used up two, I had one in my car and one at home. It does an excellent job at repairing dry hands like no other lotion I've used. It's thick but not sticky and it doesn't have a heavy scent. I haven't repurchased just because I have soooo many lotions it's ridiculous. I would repurchase.
  25. Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleanser -Great face wash. Something I find myself coming back to over and over. I love the micro-bead version as well. I would repurchase.
  26. The Body Shop Mini Strawberry Body Butter - I like the way this felt on my skin and the general formual but I didn't like the scent. It did have a strawberry scent to it but it there was a  very sour or whine-like scent along with it. Because of that I just wasn't fond of it. Not repurchasing.
  27. The Body Shop Mini Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash - I enjoyed this while I used it but I wasn't in love with it? I don't really have anything bad to say. I just like the Neturogena face wash more. Not repurchasing.
  28. The Body Shop Indian Night Jasmine Mini Shower Gel -This smells just like jasmine, it's very fresh and light. I enjoyed this body wash while I had it but I am not repurchasing.
  29. Anastasia Clear Brow Gel -Oh goodness. I may have not used this all the way but it's was just getting nasty and I knew it was time to say goodbye. It was all gloppy, brown, and just gross. :( This stuff is a bit over price for what it is, but I love it and it works. I have already repurchased.
  30. Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch (Buff) -I got this highlighter/concealer because of a review I saw on YouTube. I love it! It's great for under eye concealing and it's wonderful for adding brightness back to your face. I've gone through 2 of these so far. I would repurchase.
  31. Tarte Smooth Operator Concealer (Medium) - I bought this concealer on a whim while at Sephora one day. I usually don't do that when it comes to high end makeup products. I was very happy and pleased with this product. First, it matches PERFECTLY to my skin tone. Second, it stayed all day! And third, it was great for both under eye coverage and just general spot concealing. I loved it.The stick application make using this product quick and easy. I would repurchase.
  32. OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener Original Formula - There is a small amount of product still left in the bottle, but it's almost impossible to reach unless I screw the brush back on then take unscrew it. UGH, why are nail polish bottle designed that way?! Anyways, I love this stuff so much. I used it as a basecoat and I noticed a wonderful different in the strength of my nails. They grew faster and they didn't break as easily nor did I experience peeling nails as often. I have already repurchased.
  33. Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer - I did a review for this product here on my blog. Long story short, not bad but not amazing. I definitely prefer the POREfessional over this. Not repurchasing.
  34. Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer (.33oz) -Holy crap is this primer expensive, BUT! I wouldn't have bought it if I hadn't already tested it and liked it. This is an amazing primer. It's a splurge, that's why I got the small size. Even then it was 18$... It has a oily feel/texture to it but oily skin people (like myself) don't be afraid! It does not add any extra oils to your face. It smooths out your skin and helps to prevent oil from breaking down your makeup. A small amount of this will take you far. However, even though this product is amazing I can't bring myself to spend this amount of money again on a primer. Maybe as a gift I would accept it or if I had a gift card. I feel other primers I have tried are almost as good as this. I can definitely live without this but it was a pleasant experience while it lasted. Not repurchasing.
Now it's time to do some recycling! What's really awesome is Lush and MAC both have recycling programs. Lush if you save 5 empty black pots, you get a free fresh face mask. MAC if you save any 6 items you'll receive a free lipstick! Save youre empties and save the planet! More places should totally do this! Who doesn't like free stuff?!

BIG THANKS for looking/reading~
